Bio

My name is Cynthia Quispe. I was born and raised in Argentina, but at the time I am living in Bolivia, the home country of most my family. I finished my education in the province of Entre Ríos in Argentina in a religious university, River Plate Adventist University. I obtained my degree in English Translation in 2013. Even though I majored in translation, I am very interested in the teaching process of the language. Literary translation is the field I hope to develop in my career. My dream is to translate a fantasy novel someday. Working solely as a translator has been hard, especially in Bolivia, where translation agencies are almost non-existent and, in general, the profession in its very early stages. Even so, I love what I do and I believe I am very good at it. Hopefully, opportunities will arise and I will obtain the experience required to work as a fulltime translator. As for now, I will continue doing what I do and practice as much as I can, mainly translating ideas to enrich the world one word at a time.

I'm passionate about

Literature. I read everything I get my hands on, mainly novels in english. I like to know about the world, that is why I watch the news channels of many countries, just to compare the perspectives.

An idea worth spreading

"You must never be fearful about what you are doing when you know it is right." We should fight against injustice. Everyday, Even a "small" wrong made right is a victory against hatred, against corruption, against racism. Even when you feel you are not strong enough to win the battle, the trying is a sign that you are moving the right way, that you are still humane, that you want the world to change, that you know in your heart that something has to change.

Things you might not know

...criticizing. I am very good at noticing details. I always have something to say about what I see. It can be annoying sometimes, but i've found that it is very helpful in the right situations.
