I'm an aspiring professional translator wanting to make use of my knowledge in English to build a career in the area. I'm from a korean family, but I was born and raised in Brazil, so portuguese is my native language.

Beeing self sufficient in each and every way possible. Learning about what my own opinions and values are.

Translators create possibility from scratch. They are the ones to create a bridge that connects what wasn't connected before.

I heard about TED translators from a successful professional translator working as a freelancer in Brazil for 10 years. He recommended volunteering to this program as a good way to obtain experience in the area while also helping in a good cause.

I actually have an unfinished degree in civil engineering (4 out of 5 years). I used to practice martial arts as a kid and as a teenager (taekwondo and hapkido), and I also used to be in a breakdancing group in my church.
