Akinleye Ayomide Temitope is a dynamic and purpose-driven Mechanical Engineering student with a passion for leadership, community building, and sustainable development. He currently serves as the President of the ASHRAE FUNAAB Student Branch and Vice President of the Nigerian Universities Engineering Students’ Association (NUESA), FUNAAB chapter. A trailblazer in student leadership, Ayomide has also held notable positions such as the Campus Director for the Millennium Fellowship 2024 Cohort, Vice Chairman of the NImechESA FUNAAB Constitution Committee, and formerly served as the Public Relations Officer for NImechESA and Welfare Director of NUESA FUNAAB. His leadership journey is anchored in the values of empathy, service, and innovation. Through impactful initiatives like Project NOVA and his participation in The Academic Summit, Ayomide has consistently championed causes aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals—especially those centered on quality education, innovation, and strong institutions. His commitment to excellence and inclusivity continues to reflect in the communities he leads, inspiring young people to dream boldly and act with purpose.

My passion for service and social impact also plays a big role in how I lead. I try to ensure that any work I’m involved in is inclusive, purposeful, and leaves a lasting footprint. I’m inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in areas like quality education, clean energy, and climate action. Through volunteering and student-led initiatives, I’ve worked to align my actions with these goals—either by creating awareness or contributing solutions in small but intentional ways. Lastly, I’m passionate about growth—personal, professional, and collective. I’m constantly setting SMART goals to push myself forward and encouraging those around me to do the same. I believe leadership is not about titles, but about service, impact, and integrity. That’s why I strive to lead with empathy, humility, and an openness to learn. In all, my passion is about creating spaces where people and ideas can grow—whether that’s in the classroom, in student organizations, or on platforms like TEDx or the Millennium Fellowship. I want to be part of shaping a future where leadership is driven by purpose, and innovation is accessible to all.

People don’t know I’m good at bringing people together and building community around shared goals. I have a natural ability to communicate clearly and empathetically, making others feel seen and heard, which often helps foster collaboration without even trying. I’m also good at taking initiative and seeing the bigger picture — whether it’s organizing events, leading teams, or asking the right questions in important conversations. While I may not always be the loudest voice in the room, I influence outcomes through quiet leadership, strategic thinking, and a strong sense of purpose.
