Bio
My name is Erwan Sartre, I am a 21 year old student in English studies and I am passionate about languages, especially English and French languages. In my spare time, I like to read novels, do voluntary work in translation, go on never-ending walks in nature, play video games and hang out with friends! TED is for me a way to sharpen my translating skills, along with contributing to the global conversation by making ideas accessible to a broader audience. My goals as a translator are to convey words accurately from one language to another within their respective set of rules and to preserve the authentic spirit and impact of the original message.

The TED story
My journey into the world of translation began in my first translation's classes a few years ago and it took a turning point when I was introduced to translation studies. Therefore, I began to volunteer as a translator for my Canadian university and I absolutely loved it. This is when I heard about TED and started to translate thought-provoking TED talks to make them resonate universally.
