Working as a firefighter for over 15 years in Edinburgh, I recently achieved CIOL Qualifications Level 6 Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI Law). I am currently working part time as an interpreter, translator and subtitler.

Environment, climate change, mental health and sports.

At the beginning of the year I was trying to find some sources to be able to practice simultaneous interpreting and TED talks was the perfect source for it. It helped me to pass my qualification in March. Later on, I was looking for a way to get more experience and TED looked the perfect place to get it. Volunteering as a subtitler at TED allows me to get that experience while doing something I love and learning about something I feel passionate about like environmental issues, climate change, mental health. I have loved to be involved in these assignments. This is a great platform!
