An idea worth spreading
People could fulfill themselves a lot more, if the society was a little more pro-autistic.
Our society lacks compassion. Though many claim that they celebrate uniqueness, people get neglected, bullied and abused for their differences.
Around 2 years ago, I discovered that I was diagnosed on the autism spectrum in the past, and lost that diagnosis later. I also discovered a horrifying statistic, which says that 90% of the parents where I come from don’t want their children to be near autistic children. That made me think what would happen to me if I was a little less lucky, and had to grow with this label.
I have recently started my quest to discover how can we help the different who live besides us, and really embrace them into society, and take insights from the educators working with autistics to implement in all our human connections.
