I'm passionate about
I have always been passionate about languages and translation. I started learning English at the age of 5, French at the age of 11 and Spanish at 14. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and I am now completing a Master's in Languages for Business and Development with a thesis on audiovisual translation, more specifically on the translation and subtitling process of films from Italian into English.
The TED story
I was told by a Professor at University that I could be a volounteer for Ted. Since I was very young I have always watched TedTalks, often wondering why they had no subtitles in Italian as I was still in the process of learning English. I was so excited when I found out I could translate and immediately started. While I would love to spend more time translating and subtitling for TED, any free moment I get from university is dedicated to it!
