Bio
I was born and raised in Taiz- Yemen, where I taught Linguistics and Phonetics at Taiz University for seven years before moving to Qatar. I decided to study Audiovisual translation and, thus, obtained a master degree in this field (2016). Having this master's degree enabled me to hone my subtitling including subtitling for the deaf and blind, dubbing and voiceover skills. I am an assistant researcher at College of Humanities and Social Science- Qatar, and also work as an Expert Translator for the Qatari government.
I have a deep interest in gender dynamics, particularly as they pertain to women in the Arab World. I believe in the power of dialogue to build solidarity among people and create peace in the world . I am committed to doing my part to build a viable, sustainable global community. I also believe that all people are equal regardless of color, race, faith, and nationality.
I'm passionate about
Learning new ideas and skills, and getting to know about other cultures.
An idea worth spreading
All people on earth should live in peace. Extremism kills societies.
