Bio
Hi, My name is Esraa Saber. I'm 24 years old. I'm an Egyptian girl, live in Ismailia and Cairo. I graduated from faculty of Al-alsun Suez Canal University. I'm studying English and my major is translation. I volunteered at TED community as a translator because this is my dream job and in order to gain more experience in this field.
I'm passionate about
Learning languages, translation and explore the world.
An idea worth spreading
All human beings are different from each other, and Allah created us in this way to have the desire to know each other and to always strive to communicate with each other. That's why, when I was a child, I decided that I wanted to communicate with different people in order to discover the world from different perspectives. As I grew older, this desire shifted from simply communicating with different people to helping these people communicate with each other, and here comes the role of language. As a person who loves languages, I decided to learn English and become a translator in order to discover the world, as I said before, and to help people from different places communicate with each other and share their thoughts, emotions, and knowledge. From my point of view, learning a language and becoming a translator to help people from all over the world communicate is an idea worth spreading.
The TED story
I'm a girl and I'm 24 years old. I want to improve my skills as a translator, and to build my career. As I hope one day I can be a well-known translator who has a positive and effective role in helping people communicate with each other. I'm planning to become a trainer and help people to learn both Arabic and English, so they will have the ability to communicate with each other easily and to reduce the misunderstanding between them. As a result, respect will increase among people and peace will prevail. Learning language is a powerful weapon to confront those who exploit the lack of understanding between people to disturb the peace between them.
