Bio

My name is Gustina Jaraitė, I am a lithuanian girl at the moment living in Munich, Germany. My story is rather extraordinary ordinary. On summer of 2014, I graduated high school, while being a person of high expectations, I did something that people didn't expected me to do. I turned down an offer from Vilnius university (to become an interpreter ^^) and in short time of two weeks, I decided to try something different and exciting. I decided to learn German. How? By moving to Germany! It sounds crazy, but decision was related to my further future plans, that requires unconventional thinking and knowledge. Not all those who wander are lost, right? To be honest, it is not the most important thing to know about me, but I believe it helps to make a background. I am not just that kind of person, but an inveterate book lover, ex-tug of war athlete (yes, yes, that's an actual sport! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tug_of_war), nature and small village person (says a woman living in a city of 1.5 million people), postcrosser, art lover, languages learner and a geek at the same time.

I'm passionate about

Books, postcrossing, snail post and everything post related, collecting sugar packeges from all over the world, video games, languages, traveling, geeky stuff, self improving.

An idea worth spreading

“Language allows us to reach out to people, to touch them with our innermost fears, hopes, disappointments, victories. To reach out to people we’ll never meet. It’s the greatest legacy you could ever leave your children or your loved ones: The history of how you felt.” — Simon Van Booy It is important to understand people, and it is important that people would be able to understand you. Speaking a different language opens you doors to explore, to learn and to meet kinds of people you never thought existed. I want to spread not just an idea, but a whole web page that is another one amazing, non profit seeking project Duoling (here is a link: https://www.duolingo.com/)
