I am an enthusiastic English teacher and have taught English since 2003 in two well-known institutes in Tehran, Iran. Moreover, I was the hostess, translator and transcriber in TEDxTehran 2015 and 2016.
I'm passionate about
Philosophy, aerobics, mountain climbing, yoga, and jogging.
An idea worth spreading
TED talk videos can be a great source of authentic language in terms of teaching English in the EFL context. They can also be a contributory source in exposing students to a large amount of vocabulary with the aim of incidental vocabulary learning. Allotting time to present specific and interesting talks can be beneficial for students' discussion in classes as well.
The TED story
I got acquainted with TED in 2012 and now, I really adore teaching English to my advanced-level students through TED-talk videos with the aim of improving their language proficiency and expanding their vocabulary repertoire. I highly recommend it to my colleagues as well.
