Bio

Hey there! My name is Carlos, and I'm here to help you. Let me start by saying that ever since I discovered that languages are one of my many passions my life has changed a lot. I didn't realize back then when I was a student in primary school that languages are beyond important to mankind. It's the most powerful tool we can use to communicate every single thought we have and also one of the many ways to immortalize our words in time. Ever since I understood that picture I had changed my point of view of everything I knew till that very moment! It's such a huge responsibility for every one of us to have that concept crystal clear because it depends on us how we tell the history of everything and anything. We have the power to translate and communicate what we hear, what we read, and what we see. A huge power we must know how to use. To use it for wisely helping others.

I'm passionate about

Like I said before one of my many passions is languages, but that is only one of the tons of things I love. There is this thing about music I never know how to explain, some people might listen to music because they feel like it, but for me, it's quite a holy and special ritual. For example, I love playing my favorite album while I'm working, or when I'm feeling blue, and I listen to my joyful playlist to get in a happy mood. I think it's a great way to connect with the things that I want to do. Music is one of the many places where I can find a comfortable space that hugs me whenever I need it. Even when I don't have the words to express what I'm feeling music is just there. It speaks for me without me saying a word. The melody between lyrics and rhythm warms my heart in a way that yet I don't know how to put into words. To your surprise that is not the only thing in this life that makes it so worthy to be a human being. FILMS! Oh. My. God. What can I say about the many of masterpieces that make me feel seen? Of course, I like a good movie like everybody else, but for me, films are just exactly like music. Undescribable. The joy I get every time I watch a movie that awakes emotions I didn't know I have is something else, something that is for sure out of this world. Every day I get up out of bed, and I thank the universe for allowing me to be alive during the same time as music and films. I wouldn't know what my life would be without them, but I know for sure I'm grateful they exist not only for me but for all humankind.

The TED story

It's funny how the internet works. A couple of months ago, I was watching a random YouTuber explaining ways to practice your language skills, and he said that being a volunteer translator for the TED community was an excellent way to start using your knowledge for good use. I thought to myself this is a great way to spread others' knowledge in such an easy way. There is nothing more important than being able to help each other in any form we can. At the end of the day, we are humans living the same old life.
