I am an accomplished freelance subtitle translator, with a special focus on the entertainment industry. Having a deep enthusiasm for audiovisual content, I have experience in localising films and series for dubbing and subtitling. Also, I've been working as a data annotator since May, 2025. My passion for translation and cinema led me to postgraduate studies and a degree in multimedia localisation and audiovisual subtitling, including Subtitles for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people (SDH). I have also participated in translation mentoring programmes with emphasis on advanced training in industry-standard CAT tools like SDL Trados, MemoQ and MateCat, and in subtitle editors, especially Subtitle Workshop and Subtitle Edit. During my career, I worked as a freelancer for some multimedia companies such as Álamo Laboratório de Cinematografia e Som (translating for dubbing), Paulinas Editora (translating periodicals), Wikipedia (localising articles) and TED (translating and subtitling videos). I am currently working as a freelancer for RWS translation department (performing the tasks: MTPE, translation for dubbing, and voice adjustments - lip sync and voice choice), also for RWS TrainAI department, as a data annotator (evaluating, comparing, and rating responses to AI prompts), and for Invisible Technologies as an AI trainer. With keen attention to detail and a deep understanding of Brazilian cultural nuances, I am passionate about developing content that retains the original message and aligns with the target public’s cultural context at the same time, making it accessible to broader audiences. I am a skilled problem solver, with strong research, communication and organisational abilities, what enables me to provide high-quality, culturally sensitive, timely, and tailored solutions for each project. Currently, my focus is on collaborating in the localisation and subtitling of audiovisual content, particularly within the entertainment industry (films, documentaries, and series) and continuing to work with data annotation as well. I am also skilled in technical translation in the fields of psychology and foreign trade, having worked with these two areas for decades.
