Bio
Marie-Caroline BRAUD Translation is the name of my translation freelancer activity.
My main activity is translating subtitles, but I also teach French to foreigners on the Verbling platform thank to activities and communication games I create.
I am currently writting a book to help native speakers with the French spelling. I have other books in mind for the future.
On my free time:
I give daily free lessons to more than 600 people up to now, through the Facebook group: Le café français de Marie-Caroline. I like to write, to play music, and I do some Yoga and Mei Hua Zuang. And of course I take a great pleasure to translating and watching TED/x talks. Each of them is inspiring in its own way.
I have a master degree : Linguistics Informatics Translation (English-Spanish > French) from Strasbourg University.

Thank you.
I'm passionate about
I am a SciFi and book addict. I don't know why but I take a great pleasure into the process of translating too.
I like (need) to express myself in singing, writing, painting. I belong to a Mei Hua Zuang club. I am quiet and sensitive.
An idea worth spreading
La vie, ce n'est pas attendre que l'orage passe, mais apprendre à danser sous la pluie.
Life is not about waiting until the storm ends, but learning to dance under the rain.
The TED story
TED is by my side since a long time know. It was my first experience as a translator, now it provides me the occasion to translate contents I don't do as a freelance.
It helps me expanding my horizon daily. I had the chance to assist a TEDx event in Mulhouse, Alsace, France few years ago. I can't wait for the next inspiring TED day ! I dream of attending a TED event.
I don't know if I will be a freelance translator all my life, but I will always have this opportunity to practice translation and ecxiting contents for TED. I am grateful for that.
