Julia Behan

I am a languages student (Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan) from the UK with an interest in translation. I love continuing to learn beyond the classroom and using my voice to help amplify others.

I discovered the option to translate TED talks when looking for a way to practice my translation skills. Since then I have discovered it's a great way for me to hear from a range of sources beyond the Anglophone world making my viewpoint more intersectional. Hopefully, that is reflected in my choice of feminist and intersectional talks. I am especially proud to be able to use my English to help marginalised voices to reach the mainstream.
