Bio
I am a translator and teacher of Spanish. I was born in Argentina and when I was 24 I moved to Spain, the land of my parents. After 11 years there I decided to move again, this time to the UK where I did a post-graduate in education and started teaching Spanish in secondary schools. I always kept translating which is really my passion. I have been married to a lovely northerner since 2016. I am 60 years old and I have worked since I was at University. I am retiring from teaching and devoting my time to translating, interpreting, and tutoring future public service interpreters and translators.
I'm passionate about
I am passionate about travelling, reading and meeting with friends. I also enjoyed spending time with some members of my extended family.
An idea worth spreading
In this mad world we are living at the moment I think that the most important idea would be to accept each others´ opinions and respect them, even when we don´t agree with them. That is the only way to share this world without killing each other.
Areas of expertise
Education (Children; Adults), international development, Law, Literature (British & American), Politics (European, Latin American), Religion & Atheism
The TED story
My TED story is just starting. I would like to become an active part of the Open Translation Project and cooperate in the subtitling of inspiring conferences
Things you might not know
This is tricky. I think everyone knows me quite well... although probably they don´t know I am good at coaching other colleagues.
