The TED story
I started watching TED videos at the same time I started my journey as a volunteering translator. I always felt like I only learned so few, and this determination to learn something else outside my field--just by listening to my heart--was what fueled me to choose a video on the history subject. The subject turned out to be very specific as the speaker talked about the history of American plays, something that's way out of my league. Nonetheless, I still proceeded to translate the video while struggling to understand the subject altogether. When I finally finished working on it, there was relief and proud over myself. This is--watching a single TED video--what makes me believe that I can learn about anything and comprehend it as long as I'm willing to work hard on it.
