My name is Marta and I am a professional translator based in Salamanca (Spain), one of the most youthful and liveliest cities in the country. But also one of the coldest! Perhaps it is because of this that I don't really participate much of the city’s liveliness and rather spend my time cuddled up in a good book or movie. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English studies and a Master's degree in Translation, which should probably tell you a couple of things about me: one is that I'm a bit of a grammar Nazi; the second is that I may have jeopardized some of my friendships over this. I guess people are not interested in having someone correcting their text messages and emails on every occasion. Philistines! Anyway, as I said I am somewhat a language nerd and movie geek so subtitling has really become a way of making both passions meet. Yet, if you throw TED into the mix, then you have a perfect recipe for a dream job.
