Family medicine, prevention of unnecessary medical interventions (quaternary prevention), communication between doctors and patients, palliative care.

People used to say that everybody should have the right to access good quality medical care. The problem is that this statement is being used to justify more expensive medical care. I believe that medical care, most of the times, can be very well provided if the doctor really understands the patient and is committed in helping this patient to avoid unnecessary interventions. People are supposed to be healthier (and happier) when they are not with the doctor, and the doctors have to tell this to them.
