As a student of English Language and Literature, my goal is to apply my linguistic skills to produce high-quality, culturally sensitive subtitles that resonate with the Turkish-speaking audience, while gaining hands-on experience in the professional field of audiovisual translation.

I have always been fascinated by how language shapes our perception of the world. TED’s mission of spreading ideas aligns perfectly with my academic background, where I analyze the nuances of meaning and cultural contexts daily. I want to contribute to TED Translators because I believe that language should never be a barrier to transformative ideas.

Just as Shelley’s Ode to the West Wind scatters "dead thoughts over the universe to quicken a new birth," I aim to translate ideas to bring new perspectives in my own language.
