Susana González

Originally from Uruguay, I have spent long periods in Brazil, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom. These experiences have made me resilient, adaptable, and given me a deep understanding of the languages and cultures. My mother tongue is Spanish, and from an early age I was schooled in Portuguese and later in English. I trained as an architect and urbanist, and I'm currently working as a translator and audiovisual translator. I love to travel and to discover other cultures through architecture and food. I used to run marathons and my favorite sport is swimming, but the conversations at the dinner table tend to be all about football. I'm loving being part of the TED Translator program, where I've learned a lot about subtitiling best practices as well as diverse topics and speakers. I am a native Spanish speaker, with native level in English, advanced level in Portuguese and intermediate level in French.
