I am an Industrial Engineer with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of operations, project control, and complex industrial environments within the Oil & Gas sector. My career has been shaped by precision, structure, and the responsibility of ensuring that critical processes run effectively in high-stakes settings. But beyond systems and processes, I have always been drawn to something just as powerful: communication. Working in multidisciplinary and bilingual environments made me realize that ideas only matter if they are understood. This led me to deepen my path in the English language and ultimately expand into translation and interpretation, where I found a new way to connect my technical background with my passion for language. I see translation not simply as a technical skill, but as an act of interpretation—of meaning, context, and human intention. It is about making knowledge accessible, bridging cultures, and ensuring that ideas can travel beyond borders without losing their essence. As a TED translator, I am inspired by the opportunity to help powerful ideas reach wider audiences. I am especially passionate about content related to technology, education, and innovation—spaces where clarity and accuracy are essential, and where my professional background allows me to bring depth and precision to every translation. In a world increasingly driven by information, I believe language is what transforms information into understanding—and understanding into impact.

I started my career in a world defined by structure, precision, and control—working in operations and project environments within the Oil & Gas industry. Everything had a process, a system, a measurable outcome. But there was something I couldn’t ignore: even in the most technical spaces, the biggest failures—and the greatest breakthroughs—came down to one thing: communication. I saw how ideas could lose their power simply because they weren’t understood. How knowledge could exist, but not truly connect. And that realization changed the direction of my path. What began as a need to navigate bilingual environments became a deeper pursuit. I didn’t just want to understand language—I wanted to use it to bridge gaps, to carry meaning, to make ideas move. Translation, for me, is not about words. It’s about impact. It’s about making sure that an idea doesn’t stop at a border, a language, or a context. Joining TED is part of that purpose. It’s an opportunity to help ideas travel further, to reach minds they were never meant to miss, and to turn understanding into something powerful. Because in a world full of information, what truly matters is connection—and language is where that connection begins.

People don’t always expect that I’m very good at breaking down complex technical information into clear and simple ideas. I enjoy making things easier to understand, especially when it comes to bridging technical concepts and everyday language.
