Bio

I was born in the beautiful South of Spain :-) I have a B.A. in Translation and Interpretation (English and German to Spanish) and I took specialization courses on legal and technical translation. I am also an educator and I have a M.A. in Pedagogy and Language Teaching. I started working as a translator for TripAdvisor years ago and now I am the Lead Linguist for Spain (tripadvisor.es), working in SEO/SEM, style guides and glossaries, quality assurance and brand localization. Besides Spain, I have lived in the U.S. (California and Vermont) and in several locations in Germany (mostly in Berlin). I have volunteered for some organizations, like The Riley Center (San Francisco) which is an organization against domestic violence, and Casa do Caminho (www.casadocaminhobrasil.org), that protects and shelters children in Brazil. I am really proud of what the director, Bart Bijen, and all the team have made with the orphanage in just a few years. I also love Buddhism and I spent some months attending teachings and volunteering at the Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan buddhist studies in San Francisco. I am now also working as a professional Life Coach (training approved by the International Coach Federation) and working on a book and a method to help people overcome their fears and go for what they really want. Life is what we make of it, old limiting beliefs should not stop us from developing our potential! I am currently living between Barcelona - Spain, and Zurich - Switzerland, but I don't know where I will be next! I move a lot and I love it!
