Marcela Gama

I've got a real passion for languages and cultures, thanks in part to my time living in Ireland and the UK for over eight years and traveling around. Now, I'm diving into the world of translation and subtitling. Why TED? Well, besides the fact that their talks are seriously inspiring, I'm all about their mission to share ideas that really matter. So, I've signed up as a volunteer translator to not only hone my skills but also to play a part in spreading those amazing talks to even more people.

I'm into a bunch of stuff that makes life awesome. Books are my jam – there's nothing like a good story to get lost in. Music is a big deal too; I play guitar, sing, and now I'm learning the saxophone. Dancing is another passion of mine – whether it's busting moves or just grooving in my room, it's my thing. I'm into Lindy hop and currently learning Brazilian Forró – always up for a good dance! And when it comes to downtime, you'll find me by the beach, swimming, playing volleyball, or just chilling in the sun. Traveling is a big part of my life too; I love exploring new places, meeting people, and soaking up different cultures. Basically, I'm all about diving into whatever catches my eye and living life to the fullest!
