I first heard about TED when I was a student in High School. I remember watching a few conferences in class and I loved that the organization gave everyone the opportunity to learn (more) about a wide range of subjects. Despite that, I only got to know about TED Translators in October 2021, via a volunteering-related website. I felt motivated to make TED content accessible to Portuguese speakers and improve my translation and linguistic skills at the same time. I decided to fill in my application and I've been a Subtitler ever since!
