Armed with a 40-hour Advanced TEFL certification, I am eager to leverage my storytelling prowess and comprehensive skill set to foster transformative educational experiences in diverse cultural environments.

I'm passionate about

I am deeply passionate about assisting individuals in discovering their life's purpose, finding a sense of belonging, and pushing beyond their perceived limits. Through my research skills, I aim to empower them with a compelling narrative to share with the world.

An idea worth spreading

Having a purpose is not the same as having a good job that makes you happy. “Purpose is less about what you want than about what you give” (Esfahani, 2017). Some health professionals may feel that their purpose is to heal sick people, while some parents may feel that their purpose is to raise their children. The key to purpose is using your strengths to serve others. Some of us use our strengths at work, where we feel that we can make a difference and be valued. This means that without work or something to do, we may struggle to find meaning in life. Purpose is not something we find, but something that motivates us to act. In my case, my purpose is to serve the Lord and represent him in my family, church, community, and among all the people who don’t know him. (Esfahani, 2017).

The TED story

My name is Victor Mushimbami, and I was born into a poor family. We were often the laughingstock of every community we visited, and it seemed that nothing good could emerge from our circumstances. However, my life took a transformative turn when I experienced a spiritual rebirth. After becoming born again, I developed a strong desire to serve God and people, to make a positive impact, and to give them a story worth sharing with the world. My passion for health studies** burned brightly, but unfortunately, I lacked both opportunities and financial resources to pursue this field. Then, one day, I came across an advertisement for the University of the People (UoPeople). The name itself caught my attention—it felt like a university designed specifically for individuals like me, with a genuine interest in uplifting others and helping them achieve their dreams. I decided to apply, even though I couldn't afford the application fee. To my astonishment, one of the greatest days of my life arrived I received a scholarship from UoPeople. Now, I am pursuing a Degree in Health Science, and I proudly serve as a Student Ambassador for the university. UoPeople has given me a renewed sense of purpose, a feeling of belonging, and the courage to break through my financial limitations.
