Bio
A physicist by training, I am a passionate science educator who loves to make science relatable and accessible to all. Growing up in India, I enjoyed conducting fun and frequently messy experiments in our home's kitchen. I followed my love for science experiments (edible and otherwise) and ended up with a PhD in physics. I have worked in academia in Singapore and the US, in both research and teaching roles. I am currently an independent science teacher and science content creator, who enjoys scrolling through TED-Ed talks for "aha" moments! I am a TED Translator for both Hindi and Bengali and I have reviewed more than 75 Hindi talks.
In April 2024, I got the opportunity to attend TED2024 as a Hindi Translator delegate, one of 10 such amazing translators representing their communities at the TED conference in Vancouver. This experience has been eye-opening and life-changing in more ways than one.
Most recently, I participated in TED's AI Dubbing initiative to make TED talks truly local in linguistic flavor while staying universal in appeal.

The TED story
I started watching TED talks to learn more about things I knew little about. From a purely academic interest in science and technology talks, I also started devouring content on language, behavior and social causes. As a teacher, I love to use ideas introduced in TED-Ed talks in my lessons.
I find TED talks beautifully illustrated and simply worded, making them exceptionally effective in teaching a new concept. Passionate about spreading these ideas to people who may not speak the language in which some of these amazing talks are made, I started translating talks to Hindi recently. I have learnt a lot during this process and look forward to enabling non- English speakers to understand and appreciate the latest ideas and innovations discussed in TED talks.
Having attended TEd2024 in Vancouver as a Translator Delegate, I have gained amazing friends from the TED community, and got an insight into the brave and the brilliant who mesmerized at the TED conference.
