Bio
I'm currently working as a freelancer on Upwork and I initially gave TED Translations a try because I wanted to create some sort of translation work and gather experience for my portfolio. Since then, I enjoyed the way things work here so much that I'm now expanding on doing Transcription here, as well as simply volunteering with whatever I can just for the pleasure of it.
Oh, I also created a little Redbubble shop on the side.
I'm passionate about
Translation. Helping others understand the messages that I authentically get because I know that language. I know it's not the same, but countless of times I was let down and frustrated when I just couldn't find what I needed in a language I can actually understand. At the same time, I know my own language is foreign to many, and it deserves to be heard as well, even if it's through a translated caption.
An idea worth spreading
"If speaking kindly to plants makes them grow, imagine what speaking kindly to humans can do."
I don't know who said this, but what I really love about it is how gentle, yet powerful the wording is. It takes no more than a simple "I did okay today, my hair is okay, my little toes are warm, and my body is holding itself well" to encourage your entire inner system to keep going. Just the way we would talk to a houseplant about how beautifully it will blossom, we can encourage ourselves to grow as well despite the imperfections and thorns of life.
Things you might not know
Rambling about existence and how we should build symbiotic relationships with ourselves in order to grow and coexist in a bearable way.
