Bio
I'm a journalist, writer and editor working as a digital native in media companies or a media native in tech companies. "Curious by profession," as Jules et Jim said. I live and work in a world of ideas. My profession gives me a right, duty even, to be curious and the opportunity to exchange with the most fascinating people on Earth. It doesn't get any better than that.
I write on the intersection of business and values, tech and media, using LinkedIn's Economic Graph data to illuminate trends in the economy and workplace. I led LinkedIn's international editorial development and built a team of 25 editors in Brazil, France, Germany, the UK, India, China, Japan and Australia, who help professionals around the world get the news and insights they need. I am lucky to work alongside the most inspiring and supportive people I've ever known. After four years in management, I am now returning to my roots as a journalist and sharpening my creative skills once more.
My previous affiliations and where a bit of my heart remains: Missouri School of Journalism, The Cambodia Daily, Le Figaro and The New York Times. France, Cambodia, US and Australia.
To get my attention, talk to me about foreign affairs, media literacy and business models, economic empowerment, education or where I should travel to next. I'm an unapologetic geek and hope to learn something new every day of my life. I'm online too much but there's a hardback book in me somewhere.
An idea worth spreading
Everyone (and I mean everyone) should have the experience as a teenager of living abroad for a year. I recommend developing countries, but if not practical, another developed country will do, too. (See the way it's proposed in the movie Lions for Lambs, it's actually a brilliant idea.) It broadens one's mind as no other (happy) life experience can.
