About Christina

I am a…

Concerned citizen, Idea generator, Job-seeker, Journalist, Writer/Editor

Bio

I am a journalist with more than six years of experience in news reporting, feature writing and editing for digital media. As a devoted self-starter, my enjoyment and critical interest in new media increased significantly throughout the years while I was working at MaYoMo.com, a former social news network for citizen journalism (no longer in business). My experience there helped me gain excellent research skills, the ability to find breaking news, to write high-quality, creative and reliable content and unearth unique user-generated video footage on topics of interest, which eventually resulted in my personal success story -- some of my articles have been referred by The Huffington Post, The Guardian, France24 Observers, The Daily Beast and NowPublic, to name a few. In my spare time I am a keen TED Talks translation volunteer. I was born and live in Sofia, Bulgaria - the saddest country in the world, according to a 2010 research, published by The Economist (http://www.economist.com/node/17722557). Yet, I'm very optimistic, enthusiastic and cheerful :)

I'm passionate about

Traveling, biking, mountain hiking, photography, European cinema, going to concerts, art festivals, meeting new people, reading, growing plants, cooking and I have a strong affection for cats and dogs
