Took full responsibility to manage and maintain Ford Cargo Trucks - Construction Series Engine & Powertrain content for a flawless, on time launch delivery. Responsible for collating part and component data, constructing and updating complexity metrics for management and manufacturing, support for part releases, representing Powertrain and Engine teams in meetings and ensuring the flow of information among teams and senior management, attending build/sign off meetings to report powertrain status & communicating with base to resolve any build issues. Organize all Engine & Powertrain ongoing product development & cost reduction concerns in a single follow-up file which enables a full control of the awaiting concerns for smooth implementation in the production and also in line with the timing plan and budget provided at the year start. Selected Contributions: Main responsible engineer for alignment of Powertrain and Engine teams with the Vehicle team to meet the CP & CEU (test vehicles) build requirements. Contributed vastly for delivering a full project consisting of 4 different series in 15 months by showing keen interest in part and component deliveries and building of test vehicles. Combining Engine and Powertrain issues and concerns separately followed-up before for organized and fast tracking in a result oriented manner. R&D AND PLANT ENGINEER, September 2006 – July 2007 GEP ENERGY – Kemerburgaz, İstanbul. Develop solutions for pilot plant in start-up condition. Continuous research and development for optimizing the overall process; including new equipment research, literature research to keep up with latest developments, carry out calculations for specific sections of the process. Help patent application of the plant and process. Draw process-specific parts, equipments, layout plans for the plant. Choose contractors and manufacture these specific parts. Organize production, shifts, workers and keep documentations. Selected Contributions: Successfully developed the plant from almost non-working state to fully functional state with a dedicated team of young engineers; contributed vastly to creating a plant from a construction site: Planned and prepared drawings of new equipments for the plant; get them manufactured by the contractors, and put into service (can be seen on site). Extensive research and development in fields of gasification, tar cleaning systems, water treatment, preparing refuse derived fuel from municipal solid waste, safe disposal of municipal solid waste and hazardous waste, and hydrogen and methane production from synthetic gas. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, April 2006 – July 2006 ECZACIBAŞI - ARTEMA – Tuzla, İstanbul. (Part-time) Develop 3D designs by using ProEngineer in Product Development department, create necessary connections in order to produce the designs, create technical drawings of 3D designs and applying necessary changes. Provide direct support to industrial designers and Product Development Supervisor. HOBBIES AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES •Music production and drumming -70s, 80s, rock and kinds of rock, jazz, fusion, etc. As a semi-professional drummer; preparing demo album records for the local progressive/hard rock band Medley, which has been published in summer 2004. The band fell apart in 2006, but demo album can still be found in music stores in İstanbul. Drummer of local indie rock band Yora since spring 2006. Playing drums in record sessions, which then has been published as an EP in fall 2008 with the name ‘Bugün’. Presently playing with Yora for gigs, public appearances, and studio sessions. The band is recognized as one of the most promising indie bands in İstanbul by various magazines and music writers.
