The TED story
I first came across TED Talks when I was studying at University. At that moment, I listened to many talks related to teaching and language acquisition. At first, I thought the talks were only about academic topics but I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the endless amount of talks about almost any topic.
I enjoy them very much, there is something for everyone! That is why this year I became a volunteer in OTP, to translate talks so that people can enjoy them as much as I do. I am especially interested in promoting TED Talks in Argentina, where I think they are not as popular as in the rest of the world. Also, in sharing talks in Spanish from Latin American speakers with a global English-speaking audience. In this day and age, the language barrier is not a reason to be missing out!
Things you might not know
Cooking: Because of my Italian blood, my favorite thing is to cook delicious treats to share with family and friends. "Pancia piena, cuore contento"!
