Bio
My name is Parisa, and I am 20 years old. I'm currently majoring in Molecular Biology at Montclair State University (New Jersey). I came to the U.S. from Spain in August 2013. I grew up there, although I was born in Iran and Persian is my mother tongue.
My academic goal is to learn as much as I can. I would love to have two, three, or even four degrees in science. I have always loved biology, that childish fascination about the natural world has not left me but deepened over the years. As far as my personal goals, I hope to become successful. Whatever I choose to do I simply want to enjoy it. I want to discover something new every day and never allow others to invade my peace, mental or emotional space unless it is with positive energy.
I cannot stop talking about success and enjoyment without mentioning my hobbies. I love travelling around the world. I travel because I refuse to remain ignorant. Now I can confirm what the sages meant when they said that travelling is a form of education. It has opened my eyes to different cultures and expanded my ideas. I travel because of the freedom I get from it, because it is when I learn the most about myself. I travel because there is always more to discover, to love, and more beauty to appreciate.
In short, I am a moving, changing, and evolving creature. Like a restless atom, I refuse to be still. I want to learn as much as possible and continue exploring the world. For years, “study to get an A and get an A to succeed” was my philosophy; until one day, convinced I would find happiness overseas, I found myself packing and heading towards New Jersey. It was during my stint abroad where I discovered a dormant passion – travelling. This passion continues to sustain me on a daily basis and I know it would be my tool in helping me achieve a happy and productive life.
