The TED story

Almost at the end of 2020, I was reading an entry about ways of working as a translator on a web page. I saw that TED was listed there. Since it was about video subtitling, I was so interested (plus, I had watched some of the videos of TED talks and that I really liked). Also, I considered this was a good way of gaining experience in this field since, just a couple of months before that, I had taken an online course on subtitling tools. So, I singed on to TED web page and tried to join the translators’ team. Unfortunately for me, they were migrating to CaptionHub platform at that time. So, I had to wait for several months until this migration was completed. I remember that I used to check every couple of months to see if it was possible to take the quiz since that was something I really wanted to do… Until one day, on October last year, I got home and turned my PC on. I typed TED in the browser, and I realized that it was possible to take the quiz… So, I did it without hesitation and I got in!
