About Tomiris
Bio
My name is Tomiris, I am 21 years old, born in Pavlodar city which is located in northeastern Kazakhstan, but now I am living in Astana.
I am a fresh graduate with a BA in Translation studies and minored in Medialinguistics. I am a member of the Association of Professional Translators and Translation Companies of Kazakhstan (APTITC) Translation. Being a member of APTITC allows me to participate in meetings with other interpreters and discuss linguistic issues and news in the interpreters` world. For joint success, we openly share our successes, and knowledge and develop further knowledge.
My volunteer work allows Kazakh speakers to understand English speakers and have access to knowledge in different fields. Volunteering is about unity and social help. Being part of the volunteer community for me is a great motivation to help people and be useful to society. A volunteer is a leader who helps others, as well as plays the role of an ethical person who is not afraid of obstacles and tries to make the world a better place.
