Rongbing Shen

Artist, Designer, Educator/Teacher, Musician, Performer, Project manager, Promoter

Rongbing Shen, a native of Shenzhen, China. She is the Elementary Music Teacher at the Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School, the Historian for the New England Chapter of American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA), and the International Clarinet Association (ICA) Fall intern. She recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Clarinet Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst under the direction of Romie de Guise-Langlois. In recent years, Rongbing has participated in Buffet Crampon Summer Academy, Midwest Clinic, Eastman Leadership Academy, and many other conferences and festivals. She enjoyed premiering new repertories and bringing music to the local community. She currently plays in a clarinet duet with Juan Tovar and assists Pioneer Valley Symphony with administrative tasks.
