Ombeline Lechanoine

Recently graduated from Heriot Watt university with an MA in translation and interpretation I have moved to Australia for a short term period. During this time I would like to gain experience in the translation field and putting my skills to good use. While at university, I have had lots of practical work in translations on a variety of subjects which has helped me a great deal for the translation in itself but also the work of research around it and of course teamwork. Having worked as an intern at the NATO interpreters department I have been able to develop project and time management skills. During my studies and my personal life I have had the opportunity to travel to different countries, this has helped me keep an open mind and showed me how valuable the culture exchange is. Before moving to Australia, I have been able to keep up with my language combination thanks to my last job as a multilingual customer service agent. I believe that my language combination and background will unable me to provide good translation services.

I'm passionate about the help that is brought about by translators and interpreters, helping people understand and getting informed. I also love foreign languages, traveling, sports and team work.
