Kristy Good

Hi I'm Kristy. I'm 24 and live in Melbourne, Australia. Im a certified level 2 (para-professional) interpreter. I work in mainstream high school setting which has a Deaf Facility. I have 2 deaf parents at different ends of the Hard of Hearing-Deaf spectrum. I am hesitant about technology that sets out to "cure" deafness. I believe the Deaf should not be categorised as disabled. They have a vibrant community/culture and a wonderful language which should be celebrated. On another note I love life and the world. Science is interesting, psychology is interesting I like many things and love to learn. I have travelled overseas only once and desperately want to more and more. I am a very open person and like to listen more than talk. Cheers :)
