Sanket is associated with TEDxPune since inception. He believes that TEDxPune can be a role model for small & emerging communities in the world who are attempting at walking a path less walked upon. Sanket is a prominent student leader from India and was elected as President to represent the State of Rajasthan at Indian Student Parliament. There he was responsible for politically sensitive & high profile grant making, student’s affair & government relations. Currently he serves as the National Treasurer and is one of the Board Members for Wikimedia India Chapter. His vision at Wikimedia India is dedicated in creating more awareness about Wikimedia related projects by expanding the Indian Wikipedians base & to greater engagement with the community at large. Outside of Wikimedia, he has worked in public finance & research. He has 5 years of experience in Taxation Laws and have served on an array of advisor, both non-profit & for-profit organizations. His ongoing interest includes Open Source Polices in Government, Access to Free Knowledge in rural India, educational inequity & educational politics. Sanket's long run vision is to remove the word 'illiterate' from the history of Indian civilization by eradicating information poverty through digital interventions.
