Bio
I'm a 20 years old medical student from Collegium Medicum of Jagiellonian University.
In high school I majored in biology, chemistry, English and math.
Besides studying I also volunteer as a Polish teacher for foreigners via Duolingo Events as well as a translator for TED, Wikipedia and Khan Academy.
I speak fluent Polish (native) and English, intermediate French, Swedish and German and beginner Spanish.
Besides those I'm also actively learning Portuguese, Italian and Hungarian with occasional visits to Dutch, Latin, Scottish Gaelic, Welsh, Romanian, Finnish and Esperanto.
In the future I would love to learn Japanese, Chinese, Arabic and Swahili and sign language (BSL or ASL).
I'm passionate about
medicine, science (especially biology), languages (how each of them work, their similarities etc.), food and cuisines of different countries, fantasy literature (mostly Lord of the Rings trilogy and Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien), mythologies (mainly Norse) and religions of the world.
Areas of expertise

The TED story
I joined TED volunteering translation team in March 2020 as I wanted to contribute to TED community as a way of giving back for all videos we use in our studies.
Besides that half of my family is monolingual so they couldn't access the great videos TED provides and I wanted to change it.
