The TED story
For me, TED is also an abbreviation for Technology, Education and Driving force.
Here is why. A telephone call that I happened to answer lead me to the Japanese translator community. Since then, I have learned a lot from fellow translators. Without hesitation, they shared their expertise. More than that I was deeply impressed by their passion.
As a token of my gratitude, I decided to review other works as much as I could and more than 150 talks were published. To my surprise, such review activities brought me countless insights to my translation as well. It is really a virtuous circle and I think that momentum keeps going on.
You see? TED has various meanings:)
