About Raana

Bio

I started my career as a teacher and very soon got promotion as headmistress of Junior Section in an Army Public School. For past 2 decades i have been working in various capacities in the field of education. Currently I am working as Senior Manager Trainings in The City School, Department of Professional Development.I love poetry and sometimes write few pieces just for my own self. My passion for Urdu language started and developed when I was just 7 years old and started enjoying the books and magzines like Naqoosh, LailoNehar and many other books by Faiz, Intizar Husain ,krishan Chander and many other brought by my father for himself.I am so thankful to my colleague Umar Anjum who shared this oppertunity with me . I love to do translations and enjoy this task more than any thing else. I work as training consultant with JICA and valuntarily offer trainings to CARE FOUNDATION PAKISTAN and many other NGO schools.

I am passionate about this translation work. Not only it gives me an inner satisfaction that I am contributing my bit to my language which is my identity but also helps me learn in detail .

TED talks are sometimes thaught provoking.These talk enable you to learn more about the topics that are not encouraged to talk about. TED Education interests me more and inspires to share many ispirational parts on various trainings and other forums.
