I'm passionate about
I’m passionate about people, connection, and expansion - helping others discover what lights them up and watching that energy ripple out into the world.
I love creating spaces where ideas collide and something bigger comes alive. Whether it’s on a TEDx stage, in a business strategy session, or during a conversation over coffee, I’m always drawn to that spark - the moment someone realizes, "Oh… I can do this. I can be this."
Through TEDxStLouis, I’ve seen how one idea, when shared with heart and purpose, can shift entire communities. It’s not just about events or talks; it’s about creating an experience that changes how people see themselves and what’s possible. That transformation, when curiosity turns into courage, is what keeps me coming back year after year.
I’m also passionate about energy - how it shows up in business, leadership, and communication. Through my work in Synergy Journey Sessions, I help people align their actions with their true selves. When that alignment happens, business feels natural, collaboration flows, and opportunities start finding you instead of the other way around.
At my core, I’m a connector. I love introducing people who can help each other grow, watching partnerships form, and seeing ideas expand in ways none of us could have done alone. I believe the future belongs to “we-thinkers” - those who build with intention, lead with heart, and know that synergy is the new currency of innovation.
Primarily, I’m passionate about helping people remember their power - to create, connect, and contribute something meaningful. I believe in doing work that feels alive, that makes the world just a little brighter, and that reminds us all we’re in this together.
That’s what fuels me. That’s why I do what I do.
An idea worth spreading
Synergy: The New Currency of Innovation
For most of modern history, success has been defined by individual achievement - the lone genius, the ambitious founder, the driven leader scaling ever upward. But the world is changing. We’re entering a new era where the most powerful force for innovation isn’t competition or control. It’s synergy - the energy that’s created when people, purpose, and possibility align.
Synergy is more than teamwork. It’s the invisible current that amplifies every contribution, the multiplier effect of shared intention. When synergy is present, one idea sparks ten more. Momentum builds naturally. And people feel seen, valued, and inspired to bring their full selves forward. In that space, creativity becomes contagious.
I’ve spent years building communities, teams, and events that thrive on synergy - most notably through TEDxStLouis. I’ve seen what happens when individuals stop trying to “own” an idea and instead offer it to the collective. Volunteers transform into visionaries. Speakers move from anxiety to alignment. Audience members leave ready to launch projects, partnerships, and movements of their own. That’s the magic of synergy - it doesn’t just add, it expands.
In traditional business and leadership models, success is often measured in outputs: revenue, reach, or recognition. But in the age of connection, we could consider new metrics - ones that measure energy, alignment, and impact. When teams are in synergy, they move faster with less friction. Innovation happens without burnout. The organization becomes a living system, responsive and creative.
Synergy is a framework for aligning how we show up with what we wish to create. Because when our internal energy matches our external action, we magnetize opportunities instead of chasing them. That shift - from efforting to allowing - is the ultimate evolution of leadership and growth.
The next wave of innovation won’t come from doing more. It will come from being in tune - with each other, with our purpose, and with the greater possibilities around us. Synergy is the new currency. It doesn’t deplete with use; it multiplies with connection.
If we can teach leaders, organizations, and communities to work from this space of alignment, we can build a world where creativity flows naturally, collaboration replaces competition, and progress feels joyful again. Imagine companies where culture is the fuel, not an afterthought. Imagine cities that innovate through partnership rather than politics. Imagine individuals who find fulfillment through contribution, not comparison.
Synergy isn’t idealistic - it’s inevitable. As our world becomes more interconnected, the only sustainable path forward is one that honors our interdependence. The future belongs to those who understand that no one person holds the full solution, but together, we hold infinite possibility.

The TED story
My TEDx journey began with one simple idea: St. Louis has stories worth spreading.
When I first stepped into the role of TEDx license holder, my goal was to create a stage where local changemakers, innovators, dreamers, and doers could share the ideas that move our city forward. I had no idea how much that mission would expand - or how deeply it would shape me.
Over the years, I’ve watched TEDxStLouis evolve from a single event into a thriving ecosystem of ideas and energy. We’ve hosted speakers who’ve gone on to transform industries, influence policy, and inspire countless others. We’ve built bridges between universities, nonprofits, corporations, and communities - all through the power of storytelling and shared curiosity.
But we’re not stopping there. We’re now intentionally creating a more sustainable and community-driven TEDxStLouis - one that lives beyond the stage. We’re focused on building year-round engagement: deeper relationships with partners, a stronger volunteer network, and meaningful ways for our audience to stay connected long after the applause fades.
We’re leaning into collaboration, giving more ownership to our community, nurturing new leaders, and creating pathways for people to participate in every layer of the experience. From “Innovation Alley” to stepped-up programming, we’re expanding the idea of what TEDx can be: not just a day of talks, but a catalyst for real, ongoing impact.
At its heart, TEDxStLouis has always been about connection. But now we’re building a culture of continuity - where speakers, attendees, and volunteers become part of a living network that supports the city’s growth and creativity all year long.
This next chapter is about legacy: creating something that lasts, something the next generation can inherit, evolve, and expand. St. Louis deserves that - and the world deserves to hear what St. Louis has to say.
Things you might not know
Most people know me as the connector - the one bringing people together, keeping things moving, and sprinkling sparkle everywhere. But what they don’t always know is that I’m secretly a professional vibe reader.
I can walk into a room (or hop on a Zoom) and immediately feel what’s off, what’s missing, or what just needs a little energetic hug. I’m really good at reading the unspoken - the tension before the words, the spark before the idea, the excitement that’s waiting for permission to come out and play.
I’m also weirdly gifted at helping people say the thing they’ve been trying to say - the real heart of their message. It’s like translation between soul and sentence. I love pulling brilliance out of people who don’t yet see how brilliant they are.
And while most folks see me in my creative, big-picture flow, I’m also a strategy and systems architect. I can organize creative chaos, build teams that hum, and turn “We have no idea how to do this” into “Wow, that worked beautifully.”
Oh, and I have an uncanny ability to make meetings fun! It’s part timing, part intuition, and part coffee.
At the end of the day, what people don’t always realize is that my real gift isn’t just connecting people - it’s tuning everyone to the same frequency so magic, momentum, and meaning can happen. It’s synergy… with a wink.
