Bio
First of all, I would like to mention my long term and successful experience in a retail sports apparel industry spanning almost nine years. Together with my two academic classmates I established and run a small sized company selling sports goods of well-known brands through its own two local shops or other retail stores on the wholesale scale on the Polish market. The next stage of my professional career is connected with the fuel industry. I could track the whole process of a dynamic business development within a company that emerged from a locally operating medium-sized firm to the one as a main player within the industry in Poland. Another interesting experience I happened to have gained while working for a Polish wholesale and retail company called Polimex selling fabrics and tailoring accessories simultaneously through online store or sales floors situated in Lodz and in the south of Poland. I could use a modern and newly implemented management information system named Softlab by Assecco. Exploiting many applications I could easily monitor the whole process of a supply chain tracking the order fulfillment that helped find various interesting and fundamental deficiencies of existing sales processes. Finally, I had a good fortune to work for a Swedish international corporate company, Kinnarps. The firm is selling office interiors to large corporate firms like consulting firms, banks or manufacturing enterprises such as KPMG, Nordea or Procter & Gamble. The company uses many highly sophisticated information system tools that completely integrated an information flow between all partners involved beginning from suppliers through wholesalers, retailers and ending up with final customers. It really optimizes the whole business performance.

The TED story
I started translating by accident. I had a lot of free time and thought to myself why not to try to help TED in this very useful task of spreading human scientific ideas for the wider audience especially for ones who do not know other languages but they are passionate about science.
