Bio

I am dubbing translator, a biologist, journalist and ecotourism guide who also works with production of content for biology textbooks. I worked as a journalist at National Geographic Brasil. The edition of the website and the production of photographic articles were my responsibility from December 2011 to October 2016. My blog, Curiosidade Animal (Animal Curiosity), dedicated to wildlife was the most viewed in NG Brasil since its creation, in March 2012, and was the winner of TopBlog 2013/2014 in the animal category – academic jury. The award has the goal to recognize the best blogs in Brazil. Since childhood I am passionate about animals and, because of that, I decided to study Biology. After graduating from University of Sao Paulo (USP) in 2005. I spent two years conducting ecotourism tours in the Pantanal. After I moved to Amazon where I worked for a year with tourists. Today I am working at the Buriti Mirim Project. I’m responsible for elaborating activities for children that involve animals from the Brazilian Endangered Species List. My blog moved to Conexão Planeta website where I work as a volunteer journalist. Biology, journalism and ecotourism are the pillars of my career. I work with text editing, production of magazine and newspaper articles (mainly the ones linked with nature conservation and wild animals) and conduction of tours in Pantanal and Amazon. Conservation of animals and habitats in Brazil are my main goal

I'm passionate about

Since I was a kid I'm in love for wildlife. Every time that my parents could take me somewhere I asked to go to the zoo. My room started to get filled with books of animals and the documentaries of BBC and National Geographic were at the TV all the time. The kid started to grow, and with him came the passion for animals. So, I decided to study those animals and became a Biologist. However, I didn't want to go the regular path that everybody does. So I took my guide's license and started to work as a wildlife guide in the Pantanal, the Largest wetland in the world. After two years, working with tourists for all over the world I went to the Amazon where I guided for two years. Then, I came back to Sao Paulo where I started to work as a journalist at National Geographic Brasil where I had my own blog of wildlife, was responsible for photographic articles the social media of the magazine in Brazil for five years. Now I'm a freelancer who works as a wildlife guide in Pantanal and Amazon, journalist, translator (English/Portuguese) and writing biology text books for kids.
