Bio
A mentally-ill Indonesian, trying his best to contribute to the world--perhaps through translating as many worthwhile content as he can.
I'm passionate about
Increasing mental-health awareness throughout Indonesia. It is an unfortunate fact that many of my peoples view the mentally-ill as nothing more than vermin, as can be seen on so many "hilarious" YouTube videos. I hope that one day, as someone who is diagnosed as both bipolar and severely depressed, I can improve the overall well-being of those plagued by psychological disorders.
An idea worth spreading
Understanding is the bridge that leads to tolerance, acceptance, and ultimately compassion.

The TED story
YouTube introduced me to countless Ted Talks. They helped me deal with being bipolar and depressed, facing my traumas, and--the best part for me personally--reinvigorated my curiosity.
TED has helped me on a personal level, something that even those closest to me could not--I'm a rather difficult person to deal with, it's never been their fault. More than that, TED and its speakers have taught me that it's never wrong to dream, to conjure up fantastical ideas and try to bring them into reality. I do not have such an idea yet, unfortunately, but I know I can contribute.
As such, I try to spread about the ideas from TED to my circle of friends, acquaintances and of course my family. For now, perhaps I can do nothing more than provide Indonesian subtitles for TED's videos, but I believe and hope that one day I can do more for this organization that has--without exaggeration--prepared me for life's greatest challenges.
Once more, I thank all of you wonderful people who work and volunteer at TED, for you have all showed me that it's okay to dream again.
Things you might not know
Taking care of children, apparently.
