With extensive experience working on projects through the Amara.org platform, along with a professional background in Python development and automation, I bring a strong technical perspective to audiovisual translation workflows. I am committed to TED’s “Ideas Worth Spreading” mission, ensuring that every subtitle meets high standards of timing, readability, accuracy, and cultural nuance. While my primary focus is English-Spanish subtitling and localization, I also collaborate on projects involving Italian and French. My goal is to combine linguistic precision with technical expertise to create a seamless and engaging viewing experience.

I’m passionate about making knowledge accessible across languages and cultures through thoughtful translation and subtitling. I’m especially interested in the intersection between language, technology, and human communication — particularly how automation and technical workflows can support, rather than replace, meaningful cultural adaptation. I also enjoy working on projects related to science, technology, education, psychology, and global issues that help people better understand the world around them.

I’ve always been fascinated by the way ideas can cross borders through language. Over time, that interest evolved into a deeper appreciation for subtitling and localization as tools for accessibility and global communication. Discovering TED and the volunteer translation community showed me how powerful accurate and culturally thoughtful translation can be in helping ideas reach entirely new audiences. What motivates me most is the opportunity to contribute to the accessibility of knowledge while combining two areas I genuinely enjoy: language and technology. For me, subtitling is not only about translating words, but about preserving meaning, tone, and human connection across cultures.

People are often surprised by how much technical problem-solving is involved in high-quality subtitling and localization. Beyond translation itself, I enjoy optimizing workflows, improving subtitle timing and readability, and building small automation tools in Python to make repetitive processes more efficient while preserving linguistic quality and nuance. I’m also very detail-oriented when it comes to consistency, pacing, and the natural flow of spoken language across cultures.
