Bio

I discovered the magic of storytelling and the power of storylistening at a young age, and applied those insights throughout my work in the corporate world. I began organizing TEDx events in 2013 and have produced events such as TEDxSanDiego, TEDxYouth@SanDiego, TEDxMonumento258 (a bi-national event spanning the U.S. / Mexico border) and TEDxDonovanCorrectional (held inside a California state prison). In 2023 I joined the curation team at TEDxLisboa. Today my focus is on coaching people and businesses to tell impactful stories.

I'm passionate about

Helping people find the true essence of their story, crafting a narrative which allows them to fully express that story, then share it with others.

An idea worth spreading

The true power of storytelling is that your story can become part of someone else’s story.

The TED story

I was already a long time viewer of TED Talks, when I was introduced to TEDx via TEDxSanDiego in 2010. I co-organized TEDxSanDiego in 2013, and became the organizer for TEDxSanDiego's 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 events. In partnership with TEDxTijuana, I organized TEDxMonumento258 in 2015, the first bi-national TEDx event, held on the border between Tijuana and San Diego, with a stage in each country and speakers alternating from one country to the other. I attended TEDActive in 2013, 2014, 2015, TEDSummit in 2016 and 2019, TEDFest in 2017 and 2018, and TEDNext in 2024. I co-organized TEDxDonovanCorrectional in 2017 and was a speaker coach for the 2018 event. Coaching inmates for a TEDx in prison was a unique, memorable, and impactful experience. I was a speaker at TEDxNewBedford in 2012, TEDxCuauhtémoc in 2017, and TEDxTijuana in 2018. I've seen hundreds of speakers on TED and TEDx stages. I take each of their stories and gifts with me as I coach other speakers, conduct storytelling workshops, and speak to audiences about the beauty of storytelling and the power of storylistening.
