About Jonghyeok
Bio
Jonghyeok is known for his boundless curiosity. He explores various fields—from digital technology and global ethics to creative media—and brings those insights directly into his teaching. Early in his career, he built his school’s first website to integrate digital tools into learning environments. His interest in coffee culture evolved into student-led fair trade campaigns, teaching young people how everyday choices can shape a more just and sustainable world.
Inspired by the spirit of TED, Jonghyeok has been an active TEDx licensee, translator, and community member. He sees storytelling and idea-sharing as essential tools for growth and transformation. At his school, he guides students in creating TED-style content—videos, podcasts, and media projects—that empower them to discover their voice and speak up on issues that matter.
In recent years, he has taken a national role in pioneering AI-integrated education. As a trainer and advisor, he supports teachers across Korea in embracing AI-powered digital textbooks and transforming learning experiences for the next generation. His work focuses on human-centered, student-driven innovation.
Jonghyeok’s life goal is to empower learners to become thoughtful, creative, and responsible global citizens by connecting education with the real world, technology, and human empathy. Whether he’s mentoring students, building digital platforms, or brewing a cup of fair-trade coffee, he is always asking: “How can we learn better, and live more wisely—together?”
