I’ve been a fan of TED/TEDx content for many years, often watching content at business events and meeting TEDx speakers in the UK. However my journey has accelerated in the last 8 years. ------------- From seeing my first live event at TEDxNorthwich in 2016 and subsequent attendance at TEDxManchester, to volunteering at TEDxNorthwich in 2019, to obtaining the licence for my hometown to organise TEDxWarrington events from 2022, and then on to becoming a TEDx speaker myself in 2024 to walk the talk and share my idea about legacy-building. For me, TEDx is the ultimate vehicle for facilitating legacy, a perfect mechanism to shine the light on new ideas and support behavioural change. ------------- I feel extremely privileged that I’ve been able to keep adding to my TED story, having now been a spectator, volunteer, organiser and speaker. And now I’m adding a 5th dimension - making it to the US to attend a TED conference - TEDNext 2024 in Atlanta. ------------- So excited and can’t wait!

Independent travel - I backpacked to over 70 countries during my 20's and have worked in many too, including a stint in the US presidential campaign office. Every year, I travel somewhere both solo, and with friends and family. ------------- French - I speak French fluently and studied in France for 2 years where I wrote my Master’s thesis on Retention Marketing in French. ------------- Writing - I’m writing a book about networking and relationship-building. And another about travel adventures I've had. ------------- Legacy - I'm great at enabling and supporting legacy projects and events to happen! eg Community and charity schemes, including setting up a Meal Scheme during Covid which led to a Prime Ministers Points of Light award in December 2020. eg Co-founding a Community dragons den crowdfunding project eg Setting up a social enterprise to run parental support events; eg Co-founding a charity to save a local library by repurposing its space; and eg Obtaining the licence for and delivering TEDxWarrington events to showcase the legacy-building ideas of others.
